I’ve purchased an item online, now what?
Our jewellery is made to order and the magic happens in a small workshop. As a result online orders will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete from the day of purchase. Every effort will be made to have your order delivered to you as soon as possible. You’ll receive an email once your item has been shipped.
What if I want to make a ring that isn’t on your online store?

How long does it take to make a custom design?
From hand selecting your diamond, to manufacturing your ring - the custom design process takes approximately 6 weeks.
What materials do you work with?
Quality is everything for us! We only use 9 & 18ct white, rose or yellow gold and platinum for our designs. Although we mostly work with diamonds, we work with any natural gemstone. All materials used by Kolmio are ethically and responsibly sourced and great care is taken with the custom manufacturing of each piece.
What diamonds do you use?
At Kolmio we work exclusively with natural diamonds. We mostly use IJ colour smalls for our work, although any piece can be made with GH colour diamonds. The colour of diamonds used for each piece is listed in the product's description.
Are your diamonds and metals ethically sourced?
Yes! We rely on ethically-sourced materials, using exclusively natural diamonds sourced from our trusted network of suppliers who are participants in the Kimberley Process, ensuring the stones are conflict-free. Our metal suppliers use recycled gold and by using these materials we are making jewellery that is beautiful and environmentally responsible.
I don’t know what my ring size is?
We strongly advise you to have your ring size measured professionally at your local jewellery store. Unfortunately, Kolmio cannot be held responsible for inaccurate sizes.
What if I need my ring resized?
Please keep in mind that there are certain limitations to sizing and it's best to supply us with the correct ring size from the start. In the event that your ring size has changed slightly, we can resize your ring to a perfect fit if the design allows it. If the ring needs to be resized to a significantly larger or smaller ring size, we might need to remake the ring at an additional cost. This is to ensure that we keep the integrity and quality of the ring. Sizing costs vary due to metal prices and labour costs. Should you require a resize, please get in touch.
What if my ring size isn't listed?
If you are half a size, please leave us a note at checkout - like "N1/2", for example. If your ring size is bigger than a size Q1/2, kindly get in touch for a quote on the ring you are interested in purchasing.
Can I exchange my order?
Our jewellery is specially made for you, unfortunately you cannot exchange or refund your order. If you need any guidance on choosing the right jewellery piece for you, kindly reach out to us before placing your order.
What if I don't live in Gauteng?
No problem! We work virtually with all our clients, which enables you to have your dream ring made from wherever you are in the world. The custom process happens via email. And when it comes to hand selecting your diamond, we send you high quality images and videos so that you can get a true visualisation of your options.
I am not located in South Africa. Do you ship overseas?
Yes! We ship worldwide with DHL express. If you would like to have a ring custom made or purchase a piece from one of our collections online, please get in touch for a quote. We'll send you cost estimate with your order details and international shipping rate. You may be liable for import costs, taxes, permits and other product restrictions. These charges must be paid by the recipient.
Payments can be made through PayPal or a wire transfer. Once your order is ready, we'll ship it to your door with DHL express. It takes approximately 5-10 working days to arrive, depending on where you are.
Can I make a ring with my own diamond?
We don't accept client-sourced stones. For sentimental reasons, we occasionally reset heirloom diamonds. The heirloom piece will be inspected first. Generally we don't reset smalls, only from 0.10ct and up, providing that the stones are in good condition. Any old metal will be sent in for refining, in order for us to work with a pure alloy. You therefore get discounted on your metal cost.

Can I try any pieces on before purchasing?
Yes! Although our jewellery is made to order, we have samples of most of our items that is available for you to try on. Get in touch to book an appointment.
